Replacing E3-M Filter & Resetting the Meter
Follow these easy steps whenever you install a new filter cartridge.
1. Turn Off the Water
- Close the inlet and outlet valves on the bypass so no water flows into the system.
2. Remove the Cap
- Lift off the umbrella cap on the top of the system.
3. Replace the Batteries
- Install 3 fresh AAA batteries.
- We recommend changing the batteries every time you change your filter.
4. Reset the Meter
- Press and hold the reset button inside the cap for 3 seconds.
- The lights will flash green 3 times to confirm it has been reset.
- The system is now starting fresh at zero gallons.
5. Install the New Filter
- Remove the old cartridge and place the new one into the tank.
- Make sure it’s seated properly at the bottom connection.
6. Reassemble the Cap
- Put the top cap back on and lock the snap ring into place.
7. Turn the Water Back On
- Slowly open the bypass valves.
- Push down the red pressure relief button on the top until all air is released and water comes out.
8. Flush the Filter
- Run water through the system for at least 10 minutes to flush and activate the new cartridge.
9. Check the Lights
- During flushing, the green LEDs should blink when water is flowing.
- Green = filter is good.
- Yellow = nearing replacement.
- Red = change filter now.
